Well, I maybe buying a smarty soon, but would I benefit from one that much? I have a 99 so TQ managment isn't a problem for me. I'm on the fence about this purchase and I just want to make sure it's going to be worth it. I wish I could just borrow my buddies, but his is a 3rd gen....

I just drove cross country back to NC from LA I ran sw#5 with tq#2 Time#2 Dur#1 I averaged 70-75mph. Average mileage was 18.7 calculated by hand with the best tank being 19.46. Not bad for 4.30 Gear ratios and the mods in my sig.

i drove some more today with SW#5, TM# 5, timing#2, duration #5.

i really like this setting. turbo spools a lot faster, smoke about the same a lil less probably.

im really happy with this setting and give it a A+

thanks to bob and marco for the update, now can we have some on the fly adjustment

towed app. 500 miles with tm on 3, time on 1 and dur on 4 this was stacked with the adrenaline with 2000 series downloads it was very nice but I still had surge with pl 2 and none on pl1 which I always do on the 2000 series the last hundred miles I put smarty on tm 5, time 1, and dur 5 this felt even more powerful, but surge was way amplified on pl 2 so I returned adrenaline to 1000 tonight when I got home and test drove and the surge is gone I will be towing today I will see what happens also as you raise the number on the tm you realize what kind of a sponge you have been driving

I want to give it a shot eubankshowcattle@yahoo.com

What should I set the timing on since I run a edge comp box? Can I add any with the smarty or not?

Any suggestions?

none, let the edge do the timing.

So basically my 99 will only be able to benefit from the Duration option of the smarty since I have a drag comp and I have no need for TM. Is this correct?

Greatly improved bottom end, more fuel, and it stacks well with the drag comp. Some people lose a few peak Hp on dyno but Smarty widens the power band, and is much stronger down low to mid range.
