Where are you guys seeing new updates? I am looking here:

http://www.madselectronics.com/DownloadS03A.html

It says last updated September 20, 2007

My truck is not touchy or smokey like others have said, but I am still waiting for the cruise control to be fixed.

I'm sorry but I'm simply fed up with "it's coming" messages, and nothing happens. The Smarty has been out for over a year. The cruise control issue has been a problem from DAY ONE!.... WHY IS IT NOT FIXED?

I am upset that Smarty was all the rage and then once the one for the 3rd gens came out, it's "gone and forgotten" by Mads it seems. I heard about a speed limiter program. I had my truck on the dyno doing about 130mph, so was this limiter deal on the old programs?

I would NOT recommend a Smarty to anyone as this point. Bob and MArco seem to be stand up guys, but guys... what's up????

TDR and other sites have been asking that very same question over and over.

Customer service and software updates are only available for the CR Smarty--didn't you know? You should have bought a CR truck if you wanted to use the USB port. The VP44 Smarty was just a Beta version of the REAL (CR) Smarty.

the 98 cruise control can be fixed my a vaccuum tube fix . The surge is not an ecm issue.

Let me find the fix tommorrow.

Thanks

The limiting factor for hp output is the vp44 pump.

My valve springs are installed and my truck is at Rip's shop.

Once its back we are on the rev limiter again.

Thanks

Bob, if you are talking about the WD-40 straw I did that. It helped, but it is still there.
I don't understand why I did not have this issue with the Super Chips tuner I had before the Smarty? It is something the Smarty does that goofs with the cruise.

Please do post up the info you have though for the cruise, perhaps I didn't do the correct thing.

I understand the power thing. It is what it is and that's fine.

In regards to the rev limiter, what is the limit on these motors? My truck can go to around 3600rpm right now.

I realize you are busy as well as Marco, but it is frustrating for us to be left out of the loop.

Same here, no more high idle ramp up. I had my ecm go bad & swapped them out, my high idle hasn't worked since I loaded the new software into the new ecm. I like the new software as it helps to have the extra revs while towing, but I miss the high idle.
