yea..the time is coming that I improve the preformace of my truck..

first I want to change the injectors. 250kmiles it might be time anyway. I think 60hp injectors..yes the tranny has been rebuild and should handle 300-350hp which is all I'm looking for. I tow a trailer(4-5K lbs) just about every day. I would really like to be able to step on it and have it move..like when pulling out in traffic. not towing the truck does just fine.

then I want add a Smarty..

my question is more about the code reading feature not the tuning/programming..

will the Smaty S-03 read other diesels like the Jeep Liberty CRD?
it would be awsome if it did..help with the justification. I'm not looking to tune
the Jeep. Just read the codes from time to time to make sure all is ok.

nope.
its only made for 2nd gen. Will not read codes for anything else but what it was designed for.

so if I had 3r/4th gen Dodge its wouldn't read the codes?
huh? isn't obdII a standard??
I can see it might not understand the codes..and only report P1243 on liberty..that's ok..we don't have glow plugs..but I would be happy with a P1243 code reading on the liberty..no english..

nope will not work. as stated only work with the 98-2002. the only thing that is the same shared thing is the actual OBD port. the OBD port shape and size may be the same for many years but software and programming behind it varies. the smarty is only set up to read the softwar from 98-2002 dodge with a cummins.
