I said it before but I will one more time...I LOVE THE SMARTY.

I ask this question once before, but didn't get any answers.

It says somewhere that the Smarty "can be used to read trouble codes on any truck."

I ask if that means only the 98.5- 2000 Dodge diesel trucks or ANY truck?

I have a 1999 Dodge 3500 with a V-10 that is running badly and would like to check for codes but I don't want to do anything that might damage the Smarty.

Has anyone used their Smarty to check codes on a truck other than a diesel?

 

i tried a 96 s-10 and it didnt work...also didnt mess up the smarty at all. i would say try it..but that is just me

 

it should read your codes on any dodge vehicle that uses a DRBII at the dealership to read codes..

 

I sent a PM to Bob about this when I first got mine, said it is only for 98-02 CTD's.

 

Does the smarty add more fuel too, or is it just a timing box?

 

It'll add as much fuel as anything can without tapping the wire on the injector pump.
