I have found on my other than Smarty, stock truck I only get the smoke in low boost, low rpm situations. If I'm already at 2k rpm and then hammer down it doesn't smoke, only if taking off from a stop (for the most part). I've played with levels 5,7, and 9 and to me they all take control when starting off. So if I have to control my foot when starting out (so as not to smoke everyone out) then I'll just leave it on 9 so it's there when I want it. I also agree with the post above that level 9 is the most forgiving on smoke control as far as how much control you have to have, however it will punish you the most when you try for too much.

This is probably a question for Bob or Marco. How does the
Smarty program decide to add the extra fueling. Is it due to
throttle postion , RPM , Boost or something else ?

I'd assume all the above and probably some other stuff too. All I know is the smarty likes it when you roll into the throttle

I'm thinking that the reason sw9 can be so clean is because is brings the boost in so quickly compared to the other sw's. I'm using sw5 at the moment and I'm finding I'm making smoke on the top of second gear while with sw9 I'd be making more boost with less load so I'd be clean getting into it in there. Regardless the setting, if I'm trying to accellerate from below 1400 rpm I'm going to smoke- but keep in mind I'm pretty heavily fueled and my turbo won't make boost < 1400 rpm

IIRC, Marco stated earlier that Smarty dumps in a certain amount of fuel and looks for a boost increase. If boost went up, it dumps more fuel. If not, it keeps fueling the same.

The SW aggressiveness determines how much fuel will be dumped in before it cross-checks, which can result in a drastically higher rate of fueling increase.....
