Smarty with or with out Comp

Presently have comp (with out wire tapped) and if I read everything here correctly -- it sounds as if Smarty will help out on the lower end. Can I stack and get the benefit of both. I pull trailers and sometimes the lag up to the 15-1800 rpm range is real slow. Hate to give up on the comp for $$ reasons but willing to add if feasable.

Without the wire tap, the comp is useless when stacked with the smarty. JMO

It still benefits you, you'd have the power of an EZ without the tap and the throttle response of the smarty plus some added power. I'd keep it and stack it, you'll be happy with that combo. Then when you get the nerve to tap the wire.......you'll be REALLY HAPPY!!!
