Take a pill man!
I took a hand full.

If you can update the Smarty in ONE try I'll give you $10,000. Oh that's right you already owe me $10K for my original VP-44 going 200K miles.

Only thing different for the older WIN versions is the "USBL" software.
That's the one you need. The drive and Smarty's update(s) are the same.

Do we need to return the truck to stock programming before we download the new programs into the Smarty? I haven't seen that anywhere, just seems like a good safety valve though.

Tiger Rag, I did not return mine to Stock and it updated the ECM
JUST FINE. The drive into work this morning was Strong and Smooth very noticeable. An awesome product that keeps getting better. Thanks Marco for the continued Upgrades to 2nd Generations Smarty must appreciated

still no luck. I've got the install guide open but that is for XP. I've got 2000 and the install wizard is completely different. I tried input from the guide ( C:\D2XX Drivers ) into my install guide and it says that it is not found in that location????

I now understand Geico's frustration.......

I've been on the phone with someone else who is having problems with the same OS too.

I tried loading on my work computer which uses XP. Still no luck, I'm getting the same error message. I'm using the guide and following it step by step. It appears to me the install instructions are incomplete.....or at least some more thorough steps prior to the install instructions need to be completed. When and where do we load the files?..before I'd assume.....where do we put them....desktop, temp folder......tried both.....????? You need to review this install and see what is incomplete. I'm reasonably computer literate.....enough so where I've never had a problem like this with any other software download.
