hey guys i have a smarty chip on my dodge and i was looking on the smarty chip website and it was saying i had an update for it can anyone give me info about updationg it and if i should or not. REVO is the upgrade

 

go for it. It will allow you to tune your tuck better.

 

okay its not a chip, its a downloader, and how old is the smarty. did you buy the downloader? if the down loader is fairly new the smarty would have the ReVo software on it. you plug the smarty in and it doesn't give you Timing, fuel duration, adjustments then its not been updated to the revo.??? also are you computer smart, okay, struggle etc, . cause it can be confusing if you not up to speed with basic computer lingo, there are some threads on here if you search that people walk you through the downloading from the smarty site to your computer and uploading it to the downloader. also the website on Madselectronics has a step by step instruction how old is the actual downloader?

 

i dont know how old it is i got it with the truck when i bought it, but when i plug it in i can adjust torque,injection timing, injection duration,!!! where would i look to see if it has REV on it all ready,,, is there anything else if i all ready have it, that would help,

 

98.5, 24valve, air dog fuel seystem, 300hp injectors, VP 44 injection pump, smarty chip, 5 in exhaust, 58mm turbo,

 

I was laughing at the 300hp injectors and 58mm turbo until I realized those are probably RV275's (aka RV300's).
