Smarty???

Listen guys I just got back on the site(finally bought a computer)Can someone tell me what the deal is with this controller. I currently have the Edge Comp, but I'm looking for a controller that I can set safe max EGT's into. I like the power of the Edge, but not the inability to automatically defuel.

Well it's more than a controller. Just do a search for "smarty" and you'll have plenty to read!

Blue chip's FMS can defuel based on temp.
Smarty is a programmer for your ecm and it is designed to keep egt's down, but does not automatically defuel based on egts. In fact it gets rid of all the defueling from the factory ecm.

Thanks for the link. So its just a hand held downloader like the Superchips or Hypertech? Can it be used a stacker with a box, like the Comp or TST?

Look at the FAQ on the above link. Yes Smarty is a programmer, but besides that isn't much like anything else on the market. Several here have stacked it with a comp with good results. Stacking Smarty with a TST or Blue Chip would be optimal.
