smarty 1/2 power

as i have tried a smarty before, i have never loaded this setting. my question is, when i go to a mach 6 injector, say i wanted to tow something, not to heavy but i wanted to tow it. could i load the smarty 1/2 power programm and not have to worry about egts? i was just wondering if everyone that has BIG sticks that cant tow, wondering why they couldnt load this program just for towing. any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I have stage 5's and when I put the Smarty on 1/2 power with the edge box off, the EGT's didn't get about 1200. Talk about sluggish! But I don't think you'll have EGT problems. My 64/14 didn't hardly want to spool!

i was just wondering. with my boxes off, and with my 64/14 and injectors alone i cant get over 1250 no matter what i do. i was just wondering for when i get the mach 6s and if i do want to tow, i could load the 1/2 program and tow with out an egt issue

my smarty on 1/2 power wouldnt spool my turbo. i had a hard time maintaining 65mph on the hills. but it did work to eliminate smoke and give somewhat better mileage. but boring to drive

not to to worried about smoke, i am just trying to figure out if i buy Mach 6s and load the half program, if i would be able to tow something without egt issues. i no the power wouldnt be there but thats not what i am worried about.

How do you tow with no power? If it was a light load, you wouldn't need to adjust anything to maintain temps, and If it was too heavy to maintain temps, you wouldn't have enough power in 1/2 mode i would think!?!?

I received a call from a guy in San Diego that uses 1/2 power with Mach 1.6's for towing.

He said he really likes it and his main reason was fuel economy.

Give it a try, Half power is not my cup of tea

well this is why i was asking this question lol. i was thinkin with the big injectors, 1/2 power would actually be pretty close to stock power. thus if i want to tow something heavy, i would be able to. i guess i am just trying to find a way to have a race truck and a truck that can tow as well lol
