Sled pullin EGTs

I just got a 1997 extended cab long bed dually and im wantin to fix it up and maybe sled pull some with it. Full built goerend tranny is on order. Heres what im thinking about tryin first. I will eventually go with a larger turbo and some studs but i'd like to stay with the stocker for a while. With PDR370's, a 4k spring kit, #10 plate, 17* timing, and an 16 or 18cm housing wastegated at about 35psi how do you think i would do??? Im sure the EGTs would be a bit toasty, but would that just be too much???

EGT's are the least of your concern when sled pullin'.... You're going to get hot.

Your wasting your time with a stock turbo unless your pulling in a stock charger class.

An aftermarket turbo that cost 1500 bux might save that 5000 dollar engine of yours.

I do plan on pulling in the stock charger class.

If your pulling stock charger then run a 14cm wastegated housing (htt has'em).
That will bring those top end egt's down by about 150* and probably give you a couple ponies up top.

You could also try Snow Performance's Water/Methanol injection. I heard they give you 80rwhp and a drop in EGT's of 200+.

yeah a 14 housing would help but still will get toasty . most stock charger classes dont allow the use of drugs of any kind so water/meth would be out for sled pulling .
