The Sweet sound of your Turbo singing as it draws air into it while driving down the highway.

That's about it. But still worth the mod.

Also, Welcome aboard.

The sole job of the silencer ring is to stop that great sound...... someone at dodge fell asleep when they thought of that, as for any power, nope its stays the same, just more noise. If you want, go buy a BHAF and then you will really hear it

A migraine from the high frequency whistle. Mine was out for less than 10 minutes.

for a turbo that's on the edge of the surge line, removing the ring will help aleviate it... there's a reason Dodge is the only one of Holset's customers that opts to partially block the MWE slot.

ask some of the 1st gen boys how much they like their non-MWE housings!

granted, the MWE slot is still functional even w/ the silencer ring in place, but not AS functional.

try it out. if you don't like the results, put it back. easy enough.

Someone on NWBombers was experimenting with holes or slots in the ring to compromise between whistle and surge.
Did that ever pan out?

I'm with John. Not so bad tooling around town but on a long road trip it gets annoying really fast. It's even worse for a passenger.
