I yanked mine on Wednesday night . It's a little louder now, but not a ton. Of course, the truck was already straight-piped before that, and the turbo was already audible...
Either way, at least it saves some weight .

Hey 4LO hows that Straight Pipe working out for ya? Where did you Dump it? I was thinking about running a straight pipe or mabye be a little conservative and run a straight through muffler but I dont want to have that giant bend in the tailpipe so I am wondering where to dump it. Any help would be great.

hey if you like that sound ( stupid question ) go down to NAPA and buy a BHAF ( big honkin air filter ) and put that on. it will make the turbo stand out more. and if you really want to hear it buy a scotty system. ( i dont own one but here they make the turbo really loud ) sometimes its the little things chris

For you guys that don't want to cut the firewall pull the air tube out of the fender to the airbox. With a Jake it really sounds cool!

Look in the Dodge category, go to the Scotty Air Systems link.

diesel_kid, it sounds real good with the straight pipe on there. Right now, I've just got a straightpiped stock system. It's not too loud, in my opinion, but sounds good. It has sort of a hollow rasp at idle, but roars pretty good when you get on it. I'm looking for something louder, though, and when I get the new turbo(s), I will be going with either 5" straight to the back or 5" straight to 6" stacks.
Hope that helps - let me know if you want any more description...

The scotty 2 is a good system.....but another good system is the AFE Stage 2. It is a 6" cone feeding into a 6" feed tube that narrows down to the 4" turbo inlet. It has the insulated box, and a "silencing lid". With the lid on....ppl are asking how do i stand it?....But me personally run it without the lid....i have too have my 2500 watt stereo turned almost right up to drown out the turbo...noe that is the way it is supposed to be...LOL

Im going to run a 4 inch pipe off my turbo to just past my rear axle then into "T" that into a collecter box. The collecter box will run across and then Im going to come off that with 2 six inch chrome big rig pipes bolted to each side of my reciever hitch sawed off at a 45 downslope angle

I think with the duel 6" pipes it oughta sound really really deep specially from a collecter box aahahha
