Re:scotty air question

A normal bi-metal hole saw will cut the hole and arbor will cut the hole with ease...I would not use a plasma cutter because of the painted surface your working on.

The hole will make a difference in intake charge temps and lower EGTs more...I dont have empirical numbers though

Don~

On a stock or lightly modified truck (EZ, 275s) the cowl hole doesn't make a huge difference. Maybe about 50F difference at WOT between Hush and dual inlet mode. As you increase HP, the gap begins to widen to the point where we've seen an _extra_ 200F reduction (above the 200F reduction in Hush mode) at WOT with the dual inlets.

Rod

Re:scotty air question

I think the plasma cutter would work great for that hole if you have one.

Hey it only sounds harsh, but the plasma cutter would do a better job on the metal with all the folds in the panel. If you are a good hand with the plasma cutter, go for it IMHO...

J-eh
