Scotty 2 works

After the Deer hunt my AFE filter was way dirty. I took off the Scotty 2 and the AFE to clean it and am running my old K&N RE-0880 filter open.

Even in temps in the teens(f) the open air filter sucking hot air instead of the CoooOOOcccOOOL air the Scotty 2 sucks the EGTs are up 150 degs running empty on the freeway.

The intake temps are up 20 deg also.

Re:Scotty 2 works

Good report. I currently have a Mega Cannon, but am thinking about getting a Scotty 2.
Course, that would be my 4th filter/intake style change :
You know there has to be a Scotty3 on the horizon

Look at it this way, by removing the panels we get two benefits, more Cooooool air in, and less weight to move. And lord knows we could use some break in the weight department. But it comes as a sacrifice. Aerodynamics would become crap. Maybe a set of fiberglass body panels. :
