Have a 2000 SLT Laramie, have added a Banks Brake plus their exhaust. Saw a post on another forum about a Scan Gauge II being able to red out several different performance datum. Does a 2000 have fuel presure available to be displayed?? Also would a OBD II reader be of more use that the Scan Gauge?? Just stupid questions from a novice to diesels and worring about IP & LP issues. Any recommendation as to make/model of OBD II reader?? Costs?? Much Thanks for your inputs Rog

The 2000 doesn't have a factory sender for FP, most parts stores will pull codes for free, so I would get a set of reguar gauges, and a Smarty for fun and the code reader if you really need one

IMHO the Scan Gauge is over priced/complicated.

 

Years ago I spent 80 bucks on the lowest prices code reader and thats been the best money spent don't buy the fancy high priced one if you only use it once or twice every three years
