scan gauge 2 info needed

So for my 2002 truck and a scan gauge 2. What is really the Pro with my truck. I have a smarty for codes. What would i really gain I guess or feature that would be nice to have for my 02. I know it would work for other vehicles. But i have a 99 4runner and the wife has a brand new subaru. she would never use it.

I have someone that is selling a newish scan gauge 2 for cheap.

For me being able to read/clear codes was a real nice feature but not the main reason I wanted one. It has a number of parameters you can read, 4 at a time. It is very helpful to improve fuel mileage. There are other X gauges you can set up but I have not been able to figure those out yet. Having it is a real benefit as far as I'm concerned plus I have driven some big rigs with lots of gauges and that has sort of made me a gauge kinda guy. I wouldn't want to not have it. Of course this is just me and my thoughts, yours may vary.
