Good luck. It'd never light, maybe with tons of NOS. It's lag so bad, then when you shift it won't want to come back on.

Find a 64/12. That'll move some air for you.

Scheids had a s-400 hybrid that was more of a s-300, freind of mine had one it worked pretty well. A full size s-400 is too big for dailey driving, I got one on my truck right now. 1800 rpm before anything in the way of boost with a LOT of fuel, runs about 900 degrees down a flat road at 45mph and hotter as you get faster. forget about towing anything but a log splitter

we think my buddie has one (numbers filed off) does take a while to light but when it does WOOSH. Peghe boost guage almost instantly and runs like a raped ape. He's Cowboystoys on here. Truck was built for pulling but he drives it every day and pulls a bit and doesnt run that hot. but it does smoke like a freigt train!

Im getting ready to run a S-400 on a daily driver you just need to know how to build Em'! More to it than stripping one off a big rig puttin it on your truck and driving away happily.

he said he doesn't want to spend 1500 on a turbo, you ain't going to build a s-400 for much less than that

Go ahead everyone seems to think an S400 is good on a daily driver with minimal mods I say knock yourself out and let us know how it runs!

I run one, but its not an out of the box combination. it has a 2.7 compressor and it has an s300 exhaust housing machined out to fit. it is on my daily driver, but i also have a camshaft. it produced 621 hp at 3000rpm. it is laggy but with proper afc tuning it does not excessively smoke at low boost. cruise temps run from 650 to 900 depending on the outside air temp.

Charleb1 said it would never light. I WASNT telling him to buy one, I was just stating to the man asking the question that it doesnt take NOS to light one and for his info bank their is many mods to make a larger frame charger work on a Daily Driver if he didnt already have this information!
