Has anyone ever ran a stock 40 and how does it compare to a piers 40 my buddy found one cheap he just doesnt know if he should buy it or keep saving.

 

I've been running one for about 25k miles now... you gotta make sure it's got a big compressor wheel... 60-62mm at the inducer is good. it'll spool up a bit slower than a PDR turbo, but it'll still do a good job. it'll spool up a lot slower than the stock turbo, but EGT's will also go up a lot slower!

what other mods does your buddy have? unless he's got a good amount of fuel running through it, he might be better off using it to build a hybrid. especially if he's got a heavy truck w/ 3.54's

if he DOES have some fuel running through it, it'll pull like nuts on the big end compared to the stocker!!!
