Running a Comp as Timing and A PowermaxCE

I was just wondering if it is possible to leave the Comp hooked up only in EZ mode and stack a PowermaxCE on top of it? Has anyone tried it? Just want to try some new things, thanks

yeah, it is kind of a waste for the comp, but i dont wont to get rid of it just in case i dont like the stacking. If the stacking works out alright, i then my sell the comp and get a timing box or even a smarty. Just want to try playing around with a few different things and see what nets me the best results. I am getting bored and what to find some more things to do to the truck that are not overly expensive. Any suggestions?

I have been thinking about a cam, i am more into the performance rather then the bling, the bling does not make u go any faster I got a price for an aftermarket cam of 1200 installed. To me that sounded like a pretty good price, i am not sure what brand the cam is though

We were at the track last weekend for "Mopar @ Martin Speedway". Later that night was a street car night, well as were finishing up all these little ricers start to roll in thinking there bad stuff, so a couple of the guys stayed around to show them what a 12 sec pass looks like, the look on there face was priceless

What about a Helix cam from Don M

I've been doing that. I like the combo on the street for the in cab adjustability. I don't have a dyno # on that yet, but I'll try and get that soon. I kept my comp for the same reason. No need to sell it and buy an EZ, I've already got the comp. I've also got a buddies Drag Comp to dyno to see the difference. I hope to do that this weekend.

Let me know how you make out at the dyno, i will be curious to see the results. Are you going to make a run with the comp hooked up completely, and then with it for timing only stacked with the TST? I want to see which has the better numbers. Thanks

Here are my pulls from last Friday. I meant to make one with the TST doing the fueling and the comp doing the timing but had a brain fart and forgot that combo. But I do have a Comp comparison to a TST/Smarty combo. I'll do that pull this weekend if I get a chance, I've got some other pulls to do, including regular comp vs drag comp.

Here are last weeks results:

Pull #1 TST on 9, Smarty on 9 - HP 522.27 TQ 979.18

Pull #2 TST on 8, Smarty on 9 - HP 522.37 TQ 968.30

Pull #3 Edge Comp on 5x5 , stock ecm settings HP (lifted early) 517.13 HP 984.56 TQ

Pull #4 same as #3 (full 3000 + rpm run) 521.43 HP 982.34 TQ

Pull #5 Edge Comp 5x5, Smarty on 8 - 534.48 HP 977.88 TQ

Interesting, it seems as though the Comp/smarty combo yeild the best numbers. How does SOP feel? Probably to minimal of change to notice i would guess. It seems as though the rage was a TST stacked with a Smarty. Is your TST box the comp version?

TST is regular pm3. Not to discount the TST Smarty combo, the seat of the pants meter says that it is the quickest combo. I'll have to compare the 2 on the track some time and see what the ET's say. From what I understand from a guy who has tried all the combo's, the Drag Comp will add 50 hp on the dyno and high horsepower trucks could lose up to 50hp with the Smarty. My #'s don't necessarily agree, but hp #'s were better with the comp.

I wonder how my truck would run if i replace the MAD ECM with regular ECM?
Did the guy who tried all the combos say why he thought on higher HP trucks the smarty would actually decrease HP?
