Ruffneck grill guard HELP!
Ruffneck grill guard HELP!
I got a great deal on a used grill guard for my truck, only problem is that it came off 2003 dodge mine is a 2001, and mounting kit won't work need help, ideas, etc. Maybe I should call company but they probably wont help due to I didn't buy from them new, any ideas would be greatly appreciated before I start cutting bumper and trying to turn this into something it's not. thanks in advance guys.
My friend had a problem like that, he had a 1500 with a body lift so the grill guard was 3 inches lower from where it should of been. We just took 3/8 plate steel and fabbed up some extention brackets to put it where it should be. It took a little work with welding and cutting but, came out great. So i would say if you cant get help from the company get some metal and make your own brackets.
over on pavementsucks a guy put a 3rd gen bumper on a 2nd gen with just a little fabbing i think. he did switch to 3rd gen headlights tho. its a long thread, get ur reading glasses out
