Got my DTT tranny and the mach 1.6's installed this weekend. TimInVa is the man! Got me all hooked up. I had no idea my truck would have that much power, it's like a whole new vehicle. Seems like it only requires about half the effort now to accelerate or back up the driveway. The tranny shifts pretty firm, and it's set as light as it can go. I may have it firmed up a little more, gonna tow with it first and see how it does. Can't wait to pull the bobcat around tomorrow. I love the puff of black smoke I get now before the turbo spools. And she'll light the back tires up nicely. I've got to get the power bug off my ****, the one with his fangs sunk deep! Now I'm thinking ditch the V5 and get a comp. Man what a difference, I just love this new power. Sooooooo glad I found this site!

Oh, shoot I didn't realize that, I'd stayed and talked for a while. That was your white dodge? The only thing I could see was that huge exhaust pipe! I was so excited over smoking the tires in the parking lot, I just couldn't wait to get out on the road and try it out. Just got back from a 60 mile trip pulling the bobcat, what a huge difference the mods made. The truck feels like it has literally twice as much power. It didn't even care that the bobcat was back there. This is the greatest thing I've done to the truck, I'm looking for excuses to go run errands now. Anyone looking to set your truck up for towing, I highly recommend the 1.6's and DTT, they have turned the blue mule into truckasaurus rex. I was out playing in it last night with my brother, we did a 5 psi launch and broke the toolbox bolts, it slid back to the tailgate! Somehow, it gets a lot more mileage as well, at 64 mph and empty I was getting 33.5, and she tached at least 200 rpms lower, at about 1650 or 1700. Don't know what's up with that, but I'm not complaining. And the exhaust seems to be slightly lower and meaner, and not as loud.

 

Timberman, That was me. I ran a old set of 1.5 while waiting on my Mach 4+s to come in. That's a good injector you got there. Try out a Smarty from someone in your area. I think you'll agree it will compliment those 1.6s nicely.
