Rough idle/miss after injector install

I just installed a set of RV275 injectors and after buttoning everything up and starting the truck it now has a miss and rough idle. I thought maybe it was just some air trapped in the system so I drove it for a few miles and nothing improved. Is it possible a fuel tube may not be lined up with an injector even though everything went back together correctly? Is it possible an injector is bad? How can I pinpoint which one is not firing? Any and all help is appreciated.

At idle, you can crack each injector line, one by one, at the head. The idle will change as each cylinder is killed, except the one that isn't firing already. Only leave one line open at a time. Gloves and goggles are a good idea.

Go back and double check the injector lines at the head. Its pretty common to not get one of those tight enough and will allow air into the system. I left #6 a little loose, tightened it up and she ran good.

Ok something is clearly wrong, the crankcase has fuel in it. There is enough that the blowby tube is dripping. What did I do wrong?

If they are like some of the "cheap" RV injectors found at some vendors and online, they may have too small of diameter O ring on the injector body. I did an install of a set for a customer (he provided them....no cummins part number on them like the ones I purchased for mine) and ended up ordering all new Cummins orings for his "new" injectors. I was getting fuel into the crankcase also. Orings took care of it. Pull your valve cover off and run the engine. Watch around each injector. You will most likely see fuel. New crosstubes may not be a bad idea either.

Pulled them all back out and #2 and #6 had torn o-rings. I guess I wasn't as careful as I thought I was. It's running fine now, just in need of an oil change.

Yo Wes, where are you from in TN?

Oddly enough my name is Wes, too. And I also drive a 2WD 2500, ha. Not many of us 2WD drivers around here.
