rino liner is it paintable

Well I just ordered kmc xd diesel wheels 18x9 in the black. I am not 100% sure its gonna look the best i think it will but have to see before i know for sure. My 01 is white and then i had the bottom of the truck rinolined up to the body line. I think it would look good for sure if it was all white so i was woundering if anyone knew if you there is a paint that i could put on the rino lining if i dont like the way it looks being black on the bottom i will post pics as soon as i get the wheels on. Thanks

Rhinolining

So your rhinolining is black currently? My buddy is a rhinolinging dealer and hes told me you can paint the black with rattle can paint to make it shine again if its faded. But i doubt you could paint it white. That may be a mess. I could be wrong. Ill ask him tommorrow and let you know.

The good news is that it can be done...But at a cost. My friend said you would have to wipe it all down with acetone to clear off the top coat of chemicals on the lining. next he said you would have to apply rhino linging 251 primer. This is needed as it will etch into the rhinolining so that your new paint will soak in and stick. Dont hold me to it but thats what i recall him saying. Next you would have find your color of paint from ppg. He used a long word that in simple terms would bond to rubber and soak into your existing rhinolining. He said you would need a couple pints. Total cost without labor would prob be around$400-$500. Its up to you man. Hope this helps. Sorry for the vagueness. If you do decide to do change it make sure the shop that does it is commited or you wont be happy in the end. Goodluck! Post some pics if you decide to change it.
