Re:replacement bumper

The "bumper" topic is getting a good workout lately. Maybe it's the season. Anyway, an OEM rear bumper is insanely expensive; on the order of 400 dollars. The DC guys need their head examined. I'd go with an aftermarket bumper. There are a lot of good ones out there that are much stronger than the OEM, which by the way is junk. If you do a search back of 300 days or so, you'll see a lot of topics on bumpers; both front and back. Your choice depends on you wallet. Rear bumper can run 200-1000 dollars depending on what you're looking for.

Tom Hybiske

Re:replacement bumper

For that price, I think you can get a painted steel Reunel bumper that has a 12,000 lb towing capacity. The options, like a stainless steel skin, and cutouts for lights, and hitch add to the base price of the bumper though.

Re:replacement bumper

I recommend the bumper from Southwest Products out of Juction, Texas. Solid, all pipe, no flanges, easy to install. There's a guy on here that sells those bumpers ("...Look what I sell now...&quot. I hunt deer, guide deer hunts and turkey hunts for a living. This rear bumper is bullet proof.

I still have my factory bumper. If you want it (can't imagine why) I'll sell it to you cheap.
