Fleetguard crankcase Vent system

I don't know if you've all seen this one yet but it is an awesome idea from Fleetguard and would take care of that **** blowby bottle all together. The only problem is the cost $240 from Cummins Intermountain. How difficult would it be to make up your own?

Hmmmm, I think the Ford guys have the answer to the problem. Just route your hose into this:http://image24.webshots.com/25/2/63/...8mlLZCD_fs.jpg

So now the Ford guys can now argue over which brand of disposable diaper to use like we argue over oil brands.

LMAO , but you also need one to catch all the diesel leaking into the engine oil from the bad injectors, maybe a 45 gal drum in p/u box, or filter it and just plumb it back to fuel tank, for an endless supply.

Doesn't matter though as you can make your own Condensator with a large fuel filter and housing from Napa, costs about $35.
I haven't put one on my own trucks but a friend has, says that no oily gunk is getting in the air box. Simple setup, the blowby tube connects to the filter inlet and the filter outlet connects to a hole drilled in the stock airbox.
My concern would be the bad effects if the filter should clog up on you. My friend has been changing his $12 filter every 3000 miles and hasn't had any trouble.

The kit in this link is for 98-2002 24v models. Do they also have a similar kit for the 94-98 12 valves ?

Well I did a little searching on Fleetguards site and seemed to answer my own question. It seems they do have kit for the older engines but their site is not the most user friendly. Whats a good Fleetguard distributor site that is a little more user friendly ?

The results from the testing lab (SRI I believe it was?) are done by the way. The device is a great crankcase vent, but adds 0 MPG and 0 HP. Great for the environment, but not for anything else.

Are there any performance/mpg gains to be found with this type setup ?
Anybody tried this ? I sure hate all the "undercoating" I have !

So anybody think it would be odd to hookup the vents to the 2nd and 5th valve covers and weld the nipples to the downpipe ?
