If you go to www.summitracing.com they have everything you are looking for. The tube that goes into the exhaust and the oneway valve it screws right to the tube. It is under engine components. Ordering the pieces is cheaper then ordering the whole kit. My truck does the same thing whata mess under it. I look at it as preserving the undercarriage . I hate getting under it though.

I just ordered the parts from Summit. I'm going to give it a shot. Great thinking Forest everything needs a little refining. At least nothing major happened.

Were you letting off on the accelerator at higher boost, the same sort of move that barks the turbo? More than likely that was the cause of the back pressure. Like I said before with a check valve you'll have no problem. Don't use the spring loaded type but rather the flapper type. Grainger has 3/4" check valves for $7.50.

Summit also has a check valve p/n MOR-97800 for $20

I seriously doubt it... I've thought about re-doing it so that the tube runs the same direction as the exhaust...

but I've put another 1500 miles on it w/ no problems... I'm careful not to let off quickly at high boost.

the only side effect is that when I'm on it, it oil smokes out the exhaust... I'm assuming that the accumulated oil in the pipe is burning off when the EGT's get crispy.

still not ONE DROP of oil under the truck. I'm leaving it!

How much blowby is bad?My '02 has 50k on it and it is all oily down there.I also don't have a catch bottle,but was wondering how much a normal engine has?

The Drag Racers are installing the evacuators on open headers, 1/2 line installed at 45 degrees and a 45 degree slash cut open to downstream on 4" collectors with no mufflers or cats and they'll pull 51" H2O sealed at the header on a 427BBC SuperStock motor. With an AIR "check valve" installed, the blowby gasses don't make their way back to the crankcase.
Now put a muffler or any restriction, the draw effect could be reduced or even overcome by exhaust pressure and pressurize the crankcase.
We tried some pretty kooky ideas with a header collector mounted on the flow bench and pulling air through the correct direction and adjusting tap sizes and angles...found some interesting info but no HP.
The Comp. Eliminator guys use a belt driven pump to evacuate the blowby gasses and even pull a fair vacuum in the crankcase.
The supercharged crowd uses breather hoses to a "puke tank" with a drain valve at the bottom to drain blowby residues.

I'm thinkin' about running a couple hoses off a couple valve covers up and over to a puke tank as I'm not 100% satisfied w/ my current setup. I don't think it's ideal... might be hurting performance.

BUT, the truck's running great, all the needles are pointing where they should be pointing, and there's no oil dripping. so for now, it stays.
