Quick ? about tst J hook

Helping a buddy put this on and understand the basics but it came with 3 plastic screw on things that have a needle in them. What are they for? I'm a 3rd gen guy so this is fairly new.

There for the wastegate. Couple years ago i put a tst on my last pulling truck an never installed it an the truck ran perfect. I wouldnt worry bout it.

keeps the waste gate closed longer letting you produce more boost...

Your truck uses the HX 35, which is different from the hy-9 on the auto trucks.
You need the adjustable brass elbow in the boost line, at the turbo.

I removed that line a long time ago.Put a pipe plug in its place at the turbo.Guess I don't need the adjustable brass elbow then?
