I'm looking at the FASS system pretty hard due to my p0216 and now as some may have read my reoccuring p0216 after the new lift pump conversion install this week.

I thought I heard on here that you can get the dip tube with the FASS which is bigger than the one on the factory unit. The reason I ask is because my dip tube on my unit that I got back from the place that repaired it has been cut and I am gonna raise a bit of the down under when I go back Monday. So if they start turning into...........well you know, and I can get an aftermarket dip tube when I buy the FASS then I won't even raise my blood pressure.

Have I mentioned how I truely hate other people working on my truck??

 

I don't know if DPP has a draw straw or not, but Vulcan sells one. Thats the way I'd go anyway. The stocker is about half the diameter of the Vulcan one.

 

Got my FASS pick up tube from Piers Diesel . Took 3 hours total to drop the tank, empty, clean tank, install tube and install tank. Worth 1.5 psi pressure and 1 psi less drop when the pedal in mashed!!!

 

Good info, thanks guys. Maybe I won't jump in the dealers..........Monday morning about the tank unit. I may mention something about it and show the SM and tell him how displeased I am with what was done to my parts. Maybe a side note on how the chances of me buying that quad cab diesel from them is going down everytime I have to mess around at the service department.

 

You might consider bottom feed, it is the absolute best.
