Quadzilla Xzillaraider?

Looking at programmers, and ran across one of these. Claims 120 HP and 385 Lbs-ft.
All you guys ever really seem to talk about is edge, and smarty.
Should I stay away from these?

i like mine. but you need to realize that a smarty is a different animal altogether. i wouldn't classify it with anything else on the market.

Talking

you must be looking at a programmer for a 3rd gen, 98.5-02 trucks with the vp can only get about 65hp from a programmer, the smarty is probaly the best programmer for the vp trucks and if you want a powerbox the edge juice is very popular and when tapped to the vp will give you the 120hp your looking for,a programmer alone will not,the new 3rd gen trucks can get crazy power from a programmer.

quad builds a three level chip for the vp trucks now. off-40-70-120 or something along those lines.
I have heard about these, but I haven't heard any real reports on true performance so far.
Also, the Quad Commander, and the Van Aaken commander are disturbingly similar units.

I am waiting to hear more from reliable sources before making any real decisions on promoting this product. So far, Quad seems to stand behind their product, I would merely like some real world opinions.

Good Luck

Ok, now to be honest, and not ot hijack a thread, I had ZERO luck with Edge product in the past 18 months or so. That being said, I am beginning to wonder if there is a "good" solution.

So far Van Aaken has held up very well. So far being since 99 when I first ran across their products. Good product, good support.

Any other Quad Users out there want to chime in??

I have the QZ Xzillaraider on mine and it's awesome. Good power, improved MPG. Only complaint I have about it is some "surging" under constant throttle, you kinda get used to it I guess though.

i recently baught a quad xzilleraider because i got a deal..... 340$ power seems good to me but i havent felt any others before im sure the numbers arent what they say they are but im quite sure i could make my tranny toast on stage three in minutes .....i have played a bit on level 2 and had the tires brake loose around 30 mph right before my IP took a **** i also gained 2 mpg or so however i am not talking this product up just yet it is very hesitant on high power levels and im not sure why its not turbo lag i think it injects fuel at wrong times but when it hits it right hang on!

i have the 120hp box and like said before it has a very very slight surge at cruising speeds but not too bad and the power is there for sure. had the xzt before and replaced with the 120hp. i run it on level 3 a the time. a buddy has the edge and i think that the zilla hits a little harder.

now you are dealing with an auto tranny. Sorry about your luck. that being said though, is the "surging" pronounced, is it rhythmic, as opposed to all over the place? Is it more of a miss, than a surge, etc? I could go on for days.
Just curious about it, like I say, I don't want to promote things that don't work exactly right, I will not promote anything that I wouldn't use on my own unit.

i would say that it is rythmatic and really not that bad. it may only be an issue on the auto trans trucks too. i don't mind it really and the price is right for the hp you get and cust service i awesome.

I have the Xillaraider 120hp box and I love it. Like the incab adjust and the power levels fit what I was looking for. I run the 30 hp setting all the time due to the 4 mpg increase along with more hp. Super easy to install and the times I emailed to Quad before buying they were super quick and helpfu.l
