quadzilla Problems

Is anybody else having problems with quadzilla. I have had nothing but problems. I am on my 2nd xzillaraided & commander & I still have problems. I cant get the update to work at all. Quadzilla tech support even sent me the link. My commander switchs displays on its own. I am very dissapointed.

I've had an xzt tow, and now a race module, no problems. I also have a Commander that the Fuel Pressure guage has not worked since day one. The update with computer did not fix it. I think if you get in touch with Quad he probably will help you get it straightened out.

I ran into the fuel pressure probem with my commander as well. The update just lowered the scale from 100 PSI to 25. Mine reads 25 all the time.
I'm going to send mine back for a new one but not with out have to place a deposit until mine makes it back and paying shipping 1 way....

I see the problem with the Commander, it seems that is changes power levels on its own. Is this totally random? Does it change them up or down? Does it matter whether the truck is hot or cold? How about with egt's or boost?

What happens when you try and update it? The update should work very easily. Did you ever accidentally let windows install drivers?

Secondly, what is the problem with the module? What is it doing or not doing?

Technically your module is operating like any of them. The difference is that at idle your module sits in a waiting period. Because of some quirks on the 2nd gen trucks we basically watch the MAP sensor voltage to turn the module on or off. 99.9% of the trucks have a MAP voltage of .5v at idle. There are a couple of trucks that I know of that have less than that. This does not affect the performance of the module. The only thing it affect is when the LED goes out of startup mode. As soon as your truck shows over .5v the module is in whatever level you set it to. Before that the module is still technically on it is just in a bypass or standby mode before it will make fueling, timing and boost changes.

Now this makes no difference in performance because we do not fuel at 0psi. No one does and it would be a real problem if you did. Add to that that we fuel based on TPS, and RPM as well as Boost pressure.

So yes, we are working on a fix for it but, other than the LED sitting in standby mode until your MAP voltage comes up ever so slightly the new module and the old module will be identical.

The other temporary fix is to do the "smoke" mod. This jumps 5v over to the signal wire to our module and your light will work just fine and the truck will fuel a little harder than normal.

It takes time to make a fix. We have to re-lay out boards, get them produced, get them populated and then test them. Then after all of that we work them into the production line. I am not about to junk 10,000 boards because 1 out of 500 trucks might sit in standby mode until you actually start moving.

Yes quad i know all this from talking to your techs. I wasnt asking for you to junk all the boards" just tell me that your tring to fix it and you will call or e mail me when it done. not have me call avery 2 weeks to hear call back in 2 weeks again, and again and so on. and the smoke thing makes my truck idle at 1,200. I dont know about everybody elses truck, but my box dont make any differnce till about 2,000 rpm. I got your box for the towing. Not for having to spin 2,000 rpms to make power. I I bet if you start a poll there are a lot of trucks having problems, maby ial start one. It just seams like you forgot about us 2nd gens, and worry about the 3rd gens. I have talked to all the techs, costomer service, and you on the phone. I am not asking for free stuff, i just want to hear the truth" tell me that it will take a while. Sorry if this makes you mad!
