Pyro problems

My pyro is not working correctly. When it works, and I repeat when it works, it jumps around and acts as if it is only getting intermittent power. The problem is that I know it is getting constant power.

What is wierd, is that pushing either the brake or clutch pedal has an effect on the guage. I have a good ground, and it is not being moved by the pedals.

I just want to know what to replace, is it the thermocouple, the guage, or the leads?

Mine started jumping around also. I left town for work before I could get it diagnosed. I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say.

You have classic signs of a loose connection, the question is what connection is loose.
It could be inside the gauge but I doubt it. If you used crimp on terminals for your install that might be a place to start . If the gauge is comming and going and bouncing around that tells you that a connection is being made and broken. Look for places that
movement or vibration could make or break a connection.

I have had someone start at the thermocouple and follow the lead all the way to the guage, and no change was noted as it was wiggled. I wish it was that easy. I really think i have a hardware problem, but dont know what to look at first.

P.s. I have pulled the entire shebang off the truck, and started fresh. I had the exact same problem.
Can you have interference between the two leads?

Only if the insulation has rubbed though somewhere causing a secondary cold junction.
I would replace the probe
