Putting on 315's....
Saw another 2nd gens with 315's and now I have to have them. I have read that they rub a little bit when you turn real hard, but other than that are there any other problems using the stock wheels? Also, do I need to put on the leveling kit to make it work?
Are you talking about stock wheels on a 96? If so, they will be too narrow for 315s.
You will definitely need a leveling kit to clear 315s.
The 315s on the front my truck rubbed the the rear of wheel well liner quite badly just sitting still on level ground and turning the wheels back and forth. Made a loud embarrassingly obnoxious noise when turning sharp while manuevering around parking lots. The addition of longer link arms and bending the pinch seams up cured that, however. Now all is good.

I ran 315's for a short time without a leveling kit. Yes they did rub but not that bad at all. If you crank it hard left or right , sure they will rub.
Your truck will look great with 315's on it, but even better with a leveling kit also.

With 315's you will need a leveling kit I have 305's and they are getting worn pretty good and looking small Im going to a 315 next and maybe have a little rub. I have put on 36" millitary goodyears and they rubbed at full trun but that was it.
