put my drag comp in today

like i said i put it in today with a stock tranny and it drove pretty well in level one and two with sublevel all the way up. I got the itch and turned it all the way up to 5 with full low boost fueling

rolled into it once and was impressed and tried it again and slipped the tranny.

so we dont go that high anymore untill i get the new trans

but my question is the boost elbow they give you. WHat does it raise the boost up to so i know that my boost gauge is reading somewhat correct?

oh and do you think the tranny is ok running level 2 sub 5 in stock trim or should i turn it down

What boost readings are you getting? 30-32 should be about what you should see maybe higher.

I think it will raise it to the low 30's if your intercooler boots are holding. I disabled my waste gate when I replace my boots. I think 2-5 will be ok, just watch you egts if you lug the motor. with Mach 2's, drag on 1-4 and a stick I can belch some good smoke and get alittle warm till boost comes up in the higher gears.

that sounds about right

i have to say the boost comes on pretty quick

not really much lag

but the boost reading is in the low 30's on my gauge so thanks for the reassurance

side question

how much boost is safe for just head studs

Your stock turbo is efficient up to 32ish PSI. You should be fine with stock bolts at this point. Head studs should hold 50 psi with the right turbo setup. It depends on the condition of your truck. Some guys blow head gaskets with stock trucks.

I'm glad that you got it installed. Thanks for the feedback on ebay. That thing will tear that tranny out quick. How do you like the custom bracket that I included in the deal?
