Question STOPS pulling hard after 3800 RPM????

I have Helix II cam 5K's and plenty of fuel and air too? I wonder if I am running the cam out of it's perameters, or if it is a few things????? Any clue. Just kind of lays down and is slow to pick up anymore speed or RPM's

Is that 40psi at idle or WOT above 3k RPM's? Might want closer to 30* of timing for that kind of RPM... Also do you have your drive pressure measured? It could be the cam but I kinda doubt it...

I would think it would be a lack of fueling. But that's just a guess.

What's the EGTs do at that rpm? If they drop, you are not fueling any harder. The suggestion to verify drive pressure is a good one as well.

I don't know what timing the high rpm motors like.

Hmmm, im guessing a little more timing would'nt hurt for that kind of RPM. Id try 25, or 26 degrees

you should here 4800!!!!! just break off the tach stop deal and guess where the rpm's are.!!!! as long as you got the fuel psi at that rpm then i would add a bump in the timing.

I think you will be alright. My cousin Josh is runnin 25*, and it starts pretty darn good really. id say much over that, and you might start having issues, but his truck hasnt had to have either to start it yet, except for when he had a hole in the supply line

it sounds like your turbo is out of its efficency range. 40psi doesn't seem like alot of air at 5000rpm.

PSI doesn't mean much. It's the volume of air you're pushing, not the pressure at which it's being crammed into the motor.
