I've seen that you've had some problems! If you get that thing togeather and it stays for a few miles, id wrap it up in duck tape, and write do not remove on it!

According to Olee The biggest thing is to get a Fluiddamper ! It seems to really save a tranny when running a DD! Yes the new clutch is supposed to help but im going to wait and redo my tranny at the same time!

first time i wiped out 6th gear, something went wrong on the rebuild cuz ever since i put the tranny in i had this slight clunking that i assumed to be the new DD i put in at the time. well it continually got worse, pulled it and found slop in the input shaft bearing, still waiting on the diagnosis of other internal parts. hopefully he calls me tomorrow after he gets a chance to tear it down.

also, you guys running dd clutches...how bad are they to drive daily?

I'm running a phatshaft 64/14 with 150 hp sticks, a smarty, a hotrod pump, and a tst and with the tst off I can't get into egt trouble. A 62 might spool quicker, but the 64 pulls harder on top,..... just ask Getblown =P

And the DD isn't bad- the worst part is getting it into gear from a stop. I'm wating for some more info to come out about southbends new line of DD's, but they look promising
