pump tap problems on adrenaline

i have the problem of the tap having a bad connection. the wire is plugged in but the problem resides in that little t-tap thing qzilla sent. would it be better to maybe soldering the wire on there and putting a peice of heat shrink to insulate it. what do yall think...would it work good like that or do i need to take off the t-tap and move it on a different spot on the wire???

I would just use a stealth cover.

Stealth cover is your best option. Did that to my buddys 00, plus the new pump stays under waranty. Xtreme diesel has them.

Soldering the wire is the best solution. It's easiest to remove a small piece of insulation on the pump wire, plunge a small "tap" wire in and solder. Finish with 2 coats of liquid electrical tape and wrap with some friction tape or a piece a small loom for abrasion resistance.

The stealth covers work, but they have been the cause of more than one cracked circuit board and if they build up any corrosion, they will hamper performance. We added 50HP to a truck by removing the cover and going to a soldered connection.

Can you describe what are your symptoms? Do you get a check engine light and a shuddering boost for a second when the fuel stretch takes its place?
