when doing my ask i noticed oil in the bottom of the pump, and it wad pretty black. does this share motor oil somehow or does it have to b changed and maintained separatly? i just did a motor oil change so i was surprised to see such black oil....

What pump are we talkin about?

 

the part of the injection pump that's contains the governer springs.

 

The pump shares the same oil as the engine....Mine was the same way when I did my 3k springs..My oil changes black very quickly..maybe after 50 miles..I wouldn't worry about it..
