I had a brain wave last night. How about run a 1/2in stainless tubing from the puke bottle to the exhaust just infront of the muffler. The engine heat would burn off the small amount of oil. You would need one 1/2in stainless 20footer and one 1/2in NPT for the exhaust. Thats it. Tools required, tubing bender and tubing cutter. Plasma torch for the quick cut for the 1/2in fitting, a drill would work to. I'm going to try this once I get my front seal leak fixed.

Venturi effect

He brings up a good point!

If you put a direct hose from the puke bottle to the exhaust, the outward pressure of the exhaust will create a vacuum in the line attached to your crank case. This would/could be bad!

oil goes in . . . . oil comes out

yes it will cause a vacum this is a good thing as it will pull the excess crank case pressure out of the engine.

The exhaust system is pressurized from the boost off the turbo. This would stop the blow-by and pressurize the engine and would cause gasket leakage somewhere else. The exhaust would get rid of the few oil drips. Ok, I didn't think this one thru completely. A oil/air mist seperator is the fix, but pricey. There is no vaccum, that why there is a vaccum/steering pump. A turbo diesel has no vaccum.

Just some quick info, if you do move the puke bottle, be sure to pull and fully pressure wash the radiator. A bit of work but well worth it. I've had to pull it twice in 1 year due to oily residue on the rad from the fan. Fixed the vacuum pump leak on the old girl yesterday (Thanks SWC), cleaned everything up and NO MORE DRIPS!!!! I am 1 happy person!!!!

Now I just need a DSS and install it...
