propane problem
my dad has a 1994 2 wd cummins auto. he installed a bully dog propane injection on for about 4000 miles and he was towing his 5th wheel camp trailer(26 ft). The truck was up to temp . and when he turned it on the propane injector BLEW up, thus causing an unknown amount of propane in. he shut it off as quick as he could. the truck runs now but he does not know if he has hurt the motor. how can he find out?

I have been running a Bully Dog high output propane system for several years now and unless they have changed, there is no "injector" to blow up, its just a 5/8" hose. The gas is turned on and off by a solenoid valve. I really doubt that anything was damaged if the solenoid stuck open. If it still runs and there isn't any new rattles it's probably just fine. The way I set my system up is by jumping the boost switch closed at idle which opens the solenoid, then turning up the gas till engine starts to miss, then back off a couple turns. The first time I did this I really expected the engine to "run away" but it never.
