I have a 2001 Diesel Cummings 24valve automatic 2wd. I was using the Superchip model 3705 that came with the truck when I bought it. It took a crap on me today. When calling Customer Service they informed me that it was discontinued and no longer supported by them. What would be the best programmer/tuner for this particular truck.

For the low low price of $355 they will send me a new one. Are the new ones that much better or is there another brand I should be looking at? I am looking at towing and fuel economy.

Even though it is much more expensive than the superchips it is also a code reader, offers speedometer correction for different tire sizes etc.
And you can taylor your tunes to your needs if you go with bigger injectors etc.

I ditched my SC...had it reflashed by dealer and bought an Adrenaline.
I'll agree....Smarty, Adrenaline, or Edge programmer. The Adrenaline and Edge will also provide gauge options.

 

In addition, the Smarty will also enable cold weather high idle and also 3-cyl idle, which if you live in a cold climate is extremely handy.

Also, you might be able to pick up an older Edge EZ or Edge Comp for cheap from someone upgrading to the newer models.

 

I have the edge juice with attitude cs and am very happy with it. The customer service they provide is above any expectations I had. Great product.
