From what I've heard, both are fairly expensive and both use a soft tread compound. They won't last long. You'd be better off with Goodyear MTR's or Toyo Open Country MT's.
What Cowhand said. My Brother has a set of mickey's mtx on his 04.5 CTD and they seem to holding up pretty well. I myself am in the market for new tires and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go with the Toyo Open Country MT.
I have the Pro Comp X terrians. They are the biggest waste of money in a tire that I can think of. Keep in mind that the heavy front end of these diesel trucks can cause extra wear. Combine that with an overpriced too soft directional tire and you are just throwing money away. I personally would not buy a directional tire again. They are hard to rotate and don't seem to wear very well. I went back to BFG MT's. I have owned several sets of these tires and couldn't be happier.
I got the MTX's All I can say is there Great!! very low noise D load range, And the dig like H#LL. I drive on the beach at Corolla and they work like a Champ,
Fire roads in the GW national Forest no problem. there wear good and look good. I got mine from lincolntiresonline off Ebay For $575.00 W/shipping.
Go for the Mickey MTX's

I ran 3 sets of 315 75 16 mtrs. this time I went with the 325 80 16 x terrain, these are the smothest tire I have ever ran, they have stiffer side wall and are not to loud. they have a firmer compound and are wearing good so far, I will buy another set when these wear out
I had a set of 305/70/16 XTerrains and I hated them with a passion. They wore like crap handled like crap and rode like crap. I guess that's why they always have the buy 3 get 1 free deal on them
I personally would go with BFG mudders if you are looking for a great tire!!! Plus they are cheaper $$ and last longer. Plus BFG isn't a directional tire which is a HUGE plus. I have owned almost every tire out there and by far #1 on my list is BFG!

I have Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials on my truck and Goodyear Wrangler MTR's on the wife's truck. The MT's are wearing great 28,000 miles and going strong. They handle alot better then the MTR's on my wife's truck. I don't know how long they'll last she only has about 1000 miles on them. When there wore out we probably won't get new MTR's.

X-terrains blow. My truck came with them. Ive had the truck for around a month now, dont even drive it much and I swear I can tell Ive lost tread. Ive heard the Mickey suck as well. Alot of guys here in NOR*CAL run Toyo MTs and say that they are the best tire they are ever had. Go with those. I know I am once these gay X-terrains wear out.
I currently have the Toyo MT's on my truck and they are pretty decent. The only thing I don't like is the sipe in the tread because when they start to get a little choppy they get choppy QUICK!! But overall they are a really good tire, and the sidewalls look freakin MEAN
I just got back from a Camping trip to Natural Bridge towing a 9,000 Lb Camper with the mtx's and they did great, a little side wall movement but thats expected with a 315. tire pressure @ 50 and they did well Im very happy with them.
Well, even after I showed my friend proof of what a piece of crap tire the X terrains are he still went and bought them becuase they "look cool". He has about 5,000 miles on them and he hates them. They are literally starting to wear out. I wouldn't have those tires on my truck again!
By far the worst tire I've ever owned. BFG are the way to go IMO.

i run bridgstone dueller xt revo`s got them in january ,, i put on avg 60k mile a year on my truck and after spending too much money on tires i got these on a deal to test them .. 50k on these so far this year and im only at 1/2 tread. not very aggressive for offraod . but a hella better than yokohama geolanders and anything from procomp.
no problems off road except on a hill of loose rock .. but i idid choose a smaller tire this round..
