Precision PT6876 turbo install / video
Spent most of the night Friday/Saturday forenoon installing a Precision PT6876 into an '01 2500. The end result turned out pretty well, the charger's a little hard to spool with it's current housing. I think we'll swap it for something a little smaller. Here's a few thumbnails of the install:

I have some videos of it spooling, but they're dark and shaky. I added them to the original picture link:
The B1 was good enough, I wonder if it spools like this one? Chris, we'll have to get you in the '01 and let you tell us if the lag is better or worse than the B1. This of course before the twins for the '01 are finished...

Brandon, how did your green truck spool with your cam and turbo combo. I'm trying to get a feel for how the mach 6er's work with and without the cam swap. Mine spools as fast as the stock combo did but with a hole bunch more top end. That supprises me as these are fairly good size turbos, coupled with a low stall converter. On paper it doesn't sound like a good combo, but it works pretty sweet.

It spooled very well. With a manual it was never a problem to wait a second while the turbo spooled. Watch any of the videos in my sig to see how well it drove and spooled.

If you bury the throttle from a stop, it spools after shifting to second gear at about 2200. First gear isn't ever spooled, so I think it needs a tighter housing. If you feather into it, boosted launches are pretty cool. It chokes up if it's given 100% of the throttle while stopped. But, if you feather it up and slowly ramp up the turbo's RPM, it's a very hard launch >12psi when it starts to spool.
You might want to take a 'field trip' to our shop on Friday night for a test drive/ride.

Brandon, you sure did alot of work on putting that baby in there. I'm glad that there is guys out there trying out different stuff so us lazy guys don't have to. I'm not gonna tell you how much time I sunk into install my head and twins on my rig. Everyone would start laughing at me. Heck my bumper on isn't even straight yet. I'm glad that I don't have to make a living at this stuff. So what are you doing with that 98 truck of your yet?

Mike, I got tired of getting quoted $2000+ for a B1 series charger and not being told any numbers. HTT will actually tell you some of the dimensions, but I like the interchange-ability of the T4 housings. The aftermarket for the garretts is huge because they gave out all the specs. I have $953 in the whole setup, including the 38mm TiAl wastegate, all hoses, drains and cold air piping. The '98 is still waiting on 'parts'.

its a P trim , if u can get a divided witch would help even more on spool somtimes there hard to find , Master Power make a 70 a/r T3 flange that will bolt wright up to a dodge manifold
