I know there is a new XZT in the works and wont be released for a while, but as a courier (I drive about 150miles a day a tank of fuel every 2 days) I really cant afford to wait any longer.
I can get the following locally
Diabio power puck (Dia D7154) 250$ range
SuperChips (SCI 3705) 400$ range
Edge EZ (EZD1000A) 500$ range

I'm not looking for anything more than the 50-60hp range. Just looking for a little more punch off the line. Which of the above provides the best bang for the buck? and which are just bad?. I see lots of folks have the edge in their sigs so I'm guessing it will be ok, any feed back on the other 2 would be welcomed. Will the power puck do what the Edge does for 1/2 the price? or is a matter of you get what you pay for?

I think you get what you pay for, of the three, I would go for the Edge EZ. I would highly recommend you look at getting a Smarty, they cost more, but give you alot more then just power. You get code reading, speedo adjustment if you have or go to bigger tires, anti theft, cold weather high idle and the best daily driving performance of any box on the market. Check the DTR classifieds too! (hint)

Nothing wrong with a puck although the smarty is fun.

 

I have the EDGE EZ on my 01' and have no complaints. I have it set on the highest range (65hp & 180fpt) and was an immidiate noticable difference in performance and way more black smoke

Although they do not make the simple model adjustable for the three settings from inside the cab, I have fabricated a harness with a selector switch that will run to the inside of the cab that I can adjust when I feel it is necessary, not on the fly of course because I do not know how that would react.
