? on plate grinding
? on plate grinding
I am looking into grinding my own plate but not real sure on what specs to use?
right now i have a bhaf 5 spd, star wheel spun and stock exhaust down pipe to a 4 1/4 inch striaght pipe. Some one posted before to just look up pics on here of a ground plate but doesnt show enuff for me. Id like to be spot on with the tolerances on that before i started gringing away. any ideas?? thanks for the time. also whats gonna happen when i disconnect my waste gate?

You just need to grind your plate down so that it curves out on the end unless you want to grind in flat. The only thing that you have to be carefull of is that you don't grind the bottom of the plate back to far. There is a restrictor rod that runs next to the cam plate and it stops on the bumps on the plate. If you grid the bottom away to much it could get stuck at the bottom of the cam plate and you would have a run away engine, not good. There are many people that are doing this now. My brother just did his last weekend and it runs fine.
