A pillar gauge order?

Hello,

With the help of you great thinkers, I've ordered my EV Marine gauges from Rod with an A pillar pod.
Now for the question, which order do you guys have the gauges top to bottom?

I have a mechanical 30 FP gauge, a 60 boost gauge and a 1500' EGT gauge. Because the diesel fuel will be run right to the FP gauge, I'm thinking it should go on the bottom.

Thanks again for any opinions.

Go State,
Rick

If you use a SS braided hose it might be a tight fit in the pillar for yor FP.
I put the TT on the top. Pyro in the middle, and the boost on the bottom.
My FP went in a cup that I mounted just below the ashtray, the SS line dosnt bend to tight out of the back of the gauge and I dont trust that plastic stuff for fuel. The order you put your gauges in isnt as important as having them.
Just my $.02

Everything I have read says you should use an isolator for mechanical gauges in the cab. I don't think I want fuel plumbed right into the dash!

I would agree for gas but due to the fact its only diesel I dont worry.
That said I put a needle valve shut off inline at the sorce in case a problem ever came up. The diesel killed 2 isolators so I just got a good SS braided line and dont worry about it any more

I put my FP in the bottom, just in case of a leak, didn't want it driblling over the other guages on it's way down.

Pyro in a cup next to the FP, Tranny temp in the middle, Boost on top.

No real reason for the order of the other ones,
I think the wire for the tranny guage wouldn't reach to the top cup, so it went in the middle.
Boost had plenty of tubing, so it got the top cup.

Pyro got it's place because I wanted it to be easily seen if it should get into the dangerous zone.
