Oh, just saw where you said..."to 75mph" My EGT's up to 75 are probably less than 1100*, I'll have to check that out!

This is when temps start to get out of hand on mine, when wind resistance starts to increase with the nasty old flatbed. I noticed about a 150* drop in WOT EGT's with the bed off on my way to dyno. Also, cruising boost was down to almost nothing, instead of 6-8psi @ 60mph!

?????????
Never realized flat bed made THAT kind of difference! Is that less weight... or reduced wind resistance?

I'm guessing both, but more wind resistance! Keep in mind though, that I said WOT, which is 110+mph. Cruising EGT's were pretty much the same, maybe a little lower! I noticed it really like to run in the upper RPM range with the bed off...and also did one heck of a 3rd gear burnout too

Empty weight of the truck, with no bed, me in the seat, 450lb on the GN plate (for my kidneys sake) and the twins on the truck was 7300lbs, so about 7050 without me in it! With the bed, it's up over 8500 with me in it! Both are with half a tank of fuel!

So I've decided on a II Phatshaft 62 but I'm stuck between the 12cm/14cm housing. I run a Comp 7x.009 (100 HP) Injectors with an HX35. I enjoy the spool because I daily drive the truck but I don't tow alot. II says get the 14cm housing because it's a 24V but I don't want alot of lag. What do you guys think?

some one said BD twins are the answer for towing. I would like to know what the numbers are so I could order them. I tow a golden falcon 25 mgt with a gvw of 10,500 . 3.55 rears and a 47rh with a shift kit and single disk billet TC. I would like to go with mild injector swap and twins. Thinking of 215 injectors from a newer truck might work nice. any help would be appreciated . Later Don

^^^^^ This thread is more dedicated to the HTB2 type turbo. You might want to post a new thread.

They are all S300 based chargers.

Does anyone have any input?

I hate to see this forum falling off the face of the Earth. I learned so much from this forum back before I bought my truck.

i originally had a bd super b. i then changed to a htt quick diesel, which is 64/71/14. it was laggy to the point that i couldnt hardly drive at elevation. i had them change it to the 13cm stainless housing. the difference in spool up was amazing. it spooled quick, but choked at higher rpms. i changed it out for an ii silver 62. this turbo is amzing. it spools fast and the powerband is huge. i love it
