PDR HX 40 or what with injectors towing??

I am in the market for a new turbo and have cruised around here for awhile reading about everyones opinions of what to get. My truck is not my daily driver but does get driven regularly on the street. The parts I was thinking about ordering goes as follows: PDR HX 40/16, BD 3 Piece Manifold, Injectors not sure what yet. I am looking for an overall combination that still can achieve good mileage as well as not be afraid to hook a loaded trailer on the back and be completly fixated on the pyro. I got this truck to tow and haul so that is its main job but I wanted something that I could have alittle fun on the street with the occasional dmax. Im not sure what a resonable HP goal is but I was shooting around 400-450.

Im in the same boat as you. Im leaning towards an s3000 variation (bd ect) are supposed to be a good fast spooling tow turbo but ive heard there not good for much over 400hp then you move up to a 62/12 class for towing. The hx 40s are not know for there relability. Im going to get some new era 370's and an s3000 and see how that works out but Im will probally put in a less agressive plate or a good valet switch for heavy loads.

I picked up a quick spool B-1 off ebay a little while back. Put some DDP 2's and a 100 plate full foward in afterwords. I pulled my 95 on a trailer, combined weight was right around 17,400 lbs, and never had a problem. When I first installed the sticks and turbo, it was very finicky, smoked like crazy and was over 50 psi. I have since played with it and got it gated to 42 psi, and slid the plate ever so slightly back. EGT's on a hard run would get up around 1300 with boost over 35 psi. Most of the time cruising down the highway at 65 mph it would be about 950-1000 and right around 19 psi of boost. Haven't had the truck on the rollers yet, but I'm thinking it makes about 410-425 give or take.

I was told it was comparable to a 62/65/14.
