Threw my first code today....not too bad for 51,500 miles.
Was driving slowly in traffic, TST on 0, when the truck just died. Fuel pressure was zero, all guages were dead. I immediately switched the ignition switch off, put the transmission in neutral, and tried to restart while coasting. Engine turned over, but wouldn't start. I coasted to a parking place OFFROAD (love coasting, power off four wheel drive). I stared at the guages, thought mean thoughts, and turned the ignition to run. Guages came up normally, and started the truck. No problem. I went under the hood and under the truck...nothing. I turned the truck off and ran the codes....1693. Nothing more. The engine service light went off, drove another 10 miles, and it came back on.
What gives? I'm going to go through the electric's to see if anything is loose, especially in the circuit breaker/fuse compartment. I'm also going to run a APPS reset procedure because I can't think of anything else.

Take it over to auto zone or the like and have them pull the ecm companion codes. Chances are it will point you right to the problem and save you some time.
