p-pump conversion grey smoke

p-pump conversion grey smoke
just got done with my p-pump conversion and I have a very wild pump but it seems that all I get is a lot of grey smoke not black and also limited power. What do I have messed up for that to happen? thanks

A little more info would help. Are you sure the pump is set up properly? What is your timing set at? How much fuel pressure? What kind of injectors and turbo?
